BEECHMONT – Edward Earl Bowers, age 77, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 7:49PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Bowers was born April 4, 1943, in Beech Creek. He was a retired coal miner. Eddie loved to bird hunt and spend time outdoors. He was an avid Detroit Tiger baseball fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Margie Moore Bowers; and infant brother Joe Vernon Bowers. He is survived by his loving wife, Gina Joines Bowers; daughter Terry Beth Bowers; son Chris (Shanna) Bowers; step-son Chad (Laquita) Rector; grandchildren Drake, Connor, and Ava Bowers, and Taylor and Easton Rector; brothers Harold Ray (Jimmie) Bowers and David (Tonya) Bowers; and sisters Sylvia Kay Knight and Cindy (Roger) Shepherd. Graveside funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2020, at 1:00PM at Gant Cemetery in Sharon Grove. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
