Edna Ruth Ruthie Darst

CENTRAL CITY — Edna Ruth Ruthie Darst, 70, of Central City died at 7:18 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born Dec. 3, 1939, in Muhlenberg County to Buch and Montie Gish of South Carrollton. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Brown; and her second husband, Joseph Darst. Survivors include a son, Wendell (Jody) Brown of Louisville; a daughter, Cindy (David) Anderson of Central City; six granddaughters, Amanda Brooks, Courtney Brooks, Emily Brown, Wendy Brown, Brayden Carneal and Hayleigh Travis; and a sister, Fronda Schwartz of Louisville. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. J.W. Haire officiating, assisted by the Rev. Tim Camplin. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Bremen.
