SOUTH CARROLLTON – Edmund Eugene Watkins, 97, of South Carrollton, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 4:59PM at his residence. Mr. Watkins was born October 23, 1926, in Muhlenberg County. He was a sales tech for Edgewood Building Supply, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Watkins; brothers, J. Morris Watkins and Ray Watkins; and sister, Berta Mansfield.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Marshall) Gimpel and Doris (Winton) Roseland; and grandchildren, Lindsey (Russell) Holliday and Carrie Roseland.
Graveside funeral services will be Monday, September 9, 2024, at 11:00AM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, with David Downs officiating. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
