Earnest Marvin Hardison, 90, formerly from Greenville, Kentucky, passed away December 16, 2022 at Wel-Life Assisted Living in Nebraska, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 27, 1932 in Mud River Union, Kentucky to Lannie and Ida (Hoover) Hardison. He was a Farmer in Greenville, Kentucky throughout most of his life and retired from General Foods in Kankakee, Illinois. While proudly serving our country in the United States Air Force, he was stationed at both Eielson (Alaska) and Holloman (New Mexico) Air Bases and recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He dearly loved his daughters and living a “Farmer’s Life”. In his younger years he enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, fishing, bowling, watching sports and automobiles. Later on in life, he spent time with his daughters, working puzzles, and seeing his great grandchildren. He is survived by three daughters and son-in-law’s: Marvilene (Jeffrey) Quigley of Illinois, Angela Joy (Donald J.) Bacon of Nebraska and Carissa Robin (Mike) Grandpre of Ohio. He is also survived by: two sisters, Christine Powell of Robards, Kentucky and Joyce Sandefur of Henderson, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren (with another on the way). He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Alene Salaiz and three brothers Silas, Dophis and Earon Hardison.
Funeral Visitation will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 9:00AM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 10:30AM at the funeral home with Reverend Carl Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Mud River Union Cemetery.
