Earlene Ione Wells, 85, of 1317 Garrett Lane, Greenville, died at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Sept. 4, 1924, in Todd County. She was a homemaker and member of New Harmony General Baptist Church in Todd County. She was preceded in death by sons Jackie Donald Wells and Darrell Wayne Wells. Survivors include a son, Dwight (Linda) Wells of Greenville; two daughters, Deborah (Barry) Shaver of Central City and Sue (Teddy) Smith of Clifty; a daughter-in-law, Jo Nell Wells of Greenville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Tony Evitts officiating, assisted by the Rev. Barry Mills. Burial will be in Johnston Cemetery in Todd County.
