CENTRAL CITY- Earl Smith, 81, of Central City, KY, formerly of Rockcastle Count, KY passed away Friday, August 3rd, 2018. He was born on March 24, 1937, in Rockcastle County. Mr. Smith was a press operator at Neff Folding Box in Dayton, OH and a member of Nelson Pentecostal Church. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clyde Hite. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon L. Smith; children, Vanessa (Robert) Egnor of Summerville, SC, Anthony Smith of Central City, Retha (Steve) Reed of Central City; sisters, Cathy (Paul) Brittingham, Leona Hite, both of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Robert P. Egnor, Tia J. Egnor, Elijah J. Egnor, Elizabeth A. Smith, Jonathan E. Reed, David M. Reed, Steven M. Reed, Andrew J. Reed; great-grandchildren, Aeryk X. Egnor, Phillip S. Egnor, Matthew R. Egnor, Gideon A. Egnor, A’Nasia Cheeks, Daniel L. Wallace, Damani L. Wallace, Joseph L. Baucum, Joshua R. Reed, Carter M. Reed, Connor B. Reed, Caine I. Reed, Daniel R. Reed, MaKayla R. Reed, Braiden M. Reed, Alexander D. Reed. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM EST at Valley Baptist Church in Berea, KY, with Bro. Paul Uzzle Jr. officiating. Burial to follow in Isaacs Family Cemetery in Rockcastle County. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 3:00PM CST Tucker Funeral Home in Central City and Monday after 12:00 PM EST at Valley Baptist Church.
