GREENVILLE – E.P. Doom, Jr., 89, of Greenville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 7:50PM at his residence.  Mr. Doom was born October 16, 1934, in Central City, KY.  He was a tobacco farmer, and also worked at Caterpillar as a machinist.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and of the Christian faith.  He enjoyed watching sports.  He was preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Arnold and Mary Lou Richey; and brothers, Raleigh Doom and Ray Doom.

He is survived by his son, Michael Doom; daughter-in-law, Jamie Doom; grandson, Dillon Doom; granddaughter Rachael Doom; great-grandchildren, Bently, Bailey, Na’riah, Emmitt, and Elijah; brother, Kenneth Doom; and sister-in-law, Jenny Doom.

Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 11:00AM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, with Bro. Jerry Sweeney officiating.  Burial to follow.  Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

I have cherished memories of my time with E.P. When he first arrived in California I remember him staying with our family and sharing my bedroom. I learned many life lessons from him and especially liked it when he let me drive his Black Chevrolet Convertible…. I was styling for sure. He is and will be missed!
