Durwood H. Maple ROCKPORT, KY. — Durwood H. Maple, 82, of P.O. Box 145, Rockport, Ky., died at 4 p.m. Monday, April, 27, 2009, at his home. He was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Ohio, was a construction millwright worker with Local 1080 in Owensboro, was of the Baptist faith and was veteran of the Army. He was preceded in death by a son, Durwood Maple II; and two stepdaughters, Tammy Travis and Stacey Flener Survivors include his wife, Pat Vincent Maple; two daughters, Vicky Perry and Pam Ortez, both of Louisville; six grandchildren; Destiny Maple, Jonothan Flener, Sammy Flener, Collin Perry, Jason Willoughby and Jeremy Willoughby; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Neal Maple of Beaver Dam and Glen Maple of Louisville. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, with the Rev. Jewell Legrand officiating and the Rev. Charles Brownd assisting. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central City.
