Douglas Ray Miller, 67, of Evansville died at 8:08 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1943, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired supervisor at Whirlpool and a member of Boeke Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Stella (Vincent) Miller. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dianne (Baggett) Miller of Evansville; daughters Anne (Michael) Padgett, Robin Downs and Amanda (Stephen) Snyder, all of Evansville; a brother, David (Sharon) Miller of Rumsey; grandchildren Allison, Andrea and Abigail Padgett, Zachary, Kayla and Nicholas Downs, Daniel, Phebe, Caleb and Andrew Snyder; a niece, Valerie (Kenny) Blackford of Calhoun; a nephew, Gregory (Angie) Miller of Rumsey; and special friends Pastor Gayle Russ and Pastor Ed Russ, Del Bishop and Sam Combs. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Boeke Baptist Church in Evansville, with Pastor Gayle Russ officiating, assisted by Pastor Ed Russ. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Evansville. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. He will lie in state from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. SACRAMENTO – Douglas Pearl Miller, 73, of Sacramento, died Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at 1:00PM at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mr. Miller was born June 5, 1947, in McLean County. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. He loved construction and farming equipment, and he loved his family and traveling with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Marquetta Ross Miller; son Jonathan (Devon) Miller; daughter Amy Nocole Miller; grandchild Jon Ross Miller; great-grandchild Easton Miller; and brother Wendell (Kim) Miller. Funeral services will be Friday, July 31, 2020, at 11:00AM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Rev. Kevin Brantley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
