CENTRAL CITY – Dorothy Nell Shanks, 78, of Central City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 10:30AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Shanks was born September 11, 1945 in Muhlenberg County. She was a Homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Bremen. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, being involved in her church, taking care of her family, and shopping at Amish stores. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennie and Luefena Rager.

She is survived by her husband, Junior Shanks; children, Teresa (Gary) Joines; and Tony (Melissa) Shanks; grandchildren, Lucas (Chelsea) Shanks, Meghan (Travis) Jones, Lauren (Chris) Cupp, and Cole Shanks; great-grandchildren, Caynan Jones, Rylan Shanks, Annalaya Jones, Lively Shanks, and Liam Cupp; and sister, Retha Allen.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11AM at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Bremen with Bro. Tony Shanks officiating, and Bro. Larry Hamby assisting. Burial in Cherry Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Online Condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
