Denell Baker Mahlosky Denell Baker Mahlosky, a former resident of Riverside and Cleaton communities and a beloved longtime resident of Sparks Nursing Center, Central City, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at 1:40 a.m. in Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville. Miss Denell Mahlosky was born Aug. 30, 1918, was 91 years old and a member of Union Chapel General Baptist Church, Kentucky 70, near Rochester. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening, harvesting fruits and vegetables and reading. She was a caretaker of her elderly mother until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Anton Mahlosky and Nancy Nannie Baker Mahlosky; three brothers, Roy Mahlosky, Joe Frank Mahlosky and Robert Howard Mahlosky; and six sisters, infants Katie Wilson Mahlosky and Mary Verdine Mahlosky, Mrs. Pauline Marie (Orville) Casebier, Sarah Grace (Clarence J.) Turner, Anna Lillian (Leo) Richards and Clara Mae (Clarence) Richards. Miss Mahlosky is survived by seven nephews, Carl F. (Louise) Turner of Drakesboro, Nolan L. (Alberta) Casebier of Browder, John D. (Mary) Turner of Auburn, Dewey Wayne (Erma) Mahlosky of Central City, Donald E. (Shirley) Casebier of Powderly, Clarence J. (Kaye) Turner II of Greenville and Bobby C. (Patricia) Mahlosky of Greenville; four nieces, Jonell T. (the late Bland) Hardison of Bremen, June R. (Donald) Kleckner of Lake Wales, Fla., Nancy R. (James) Willard of Birmingham, Ala., and Anita Sue M. (Glendon) Mercer of Madisonville; nine great-nephews; 14 great-nieces, 15 great-great-nephews; 19 great-great-nieces; four great-great-great-nephews; and nine great-great-great-nieces. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Robert Lindsay, pastor of Union Chapel General Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel General Baptist Church Cemetery, Kentucky 70, east of Browder. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
