CENTRAL CITY – David Lee “Whimpy” LeGrand, 60, of Central City, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  Mr. LeGrand was born March 31, 1965, in Warren County.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was a retired Assistant Fire Chief with the Central City Fire Department, and was a dedicated fire fighter.  He also worked for the Central City Street Department.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lee LeGrand; and brother, Ricky Dale LeGrand.

He is survived by his father, Robert (Brenda) LeGrand, Sr.; sisters, Sandra Hawkins and Jennifer (Keith) Strode; brothers, Jerry (Rebecca) LeGrand and Robert (Heather) LeGrand, Jr.; daughters, Lori LeGrand Thrasher and Kourtney Jernigan; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 22, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Jared Baker officiating.  Burial in Fairmount Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8PM and Monday after 8:00AM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
