SACRAMENTO – David Jewell Lile, 87, of Sacramento, died on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 10:54AM at his residence. Mr. Lile was born on October 2,1938 in Muhlenberg County. He owned and operated Dave’s Body Shop in Mt. Vernon, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean Lile; son, David Jewell Lile, II; sister, Linda Nell LeGrand; and parents, Virgil and Lovie Nell Lile.

He enjoyed old country music and fast cars. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Kay (Rockie) Gamblin, and Bonna (Richard) Lake; and brothers, Donnie (Connie) Lile, and James Earl Lile; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one great-great-grandson due in August; and several nieces and nephews.
