CENTRAL CITY- David Eugene Nelson, 81, of Central City died Friday, August 8, 2025 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Mr. Nelson was born in Muhlenberg County on November 8, 1943. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church. He loved his church, fishing, playing guitar, and singing. Mr. Nelson is preceded in death by his wife, Effie Nelson; father, Vernon Nelson; mother, Helen Anderson; brother, Mike Armour; sister, Susan Simmons.

Survivors include his children, Charles (Mendy) Nelson, Jennifer Nelson; grandchildren, Brittany Randolph, Alexander Brett Nelson; four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Alan Harris officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckefuneralhomes.com.
