Darla Jill Alexander went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on March 6, 2026. She died at 1:54 a.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 3, 1969, in Madisonville, Kentucky, Jill was a cherished daughter of Jerry and Phyllis Alexander. She was the loving mother of Whitney Springer and a proud grandmother to Silas and Kash, who brought her great joy.
Jill earned her Associate Degree in Nursing, reflecting her compassionate heart and desire to care for others. She had a special love for animals and gardening. She was also a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.
She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Amy (Bart) Spurlin and Kelli (Scott) Barbee; two nieces, three nephews; and numerous extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched.
A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, March 9, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Josh Wright officiating. The service will be followed by a memorial dinner at Cool Springs Baptist Church. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to come celebrate her life and share in the memories she left behind.
