GREENVILLE – Daniel Ray Bowles, 75, of Greenville, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 11:55AM at his home. Mr. Bowles was born April 7, 1940, in Muhlenberg County. He worked for the Muhlenberg County Fiscal Court for 29 years, serving as Magistrate for District 4. He was a member of East Union Baptist Church. He was a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge, Shriner’s, and Eastern Star of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nina Bowles; parents William and Stacy Bowles; and brother David Merrill Bowles. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Tooley Bowles; son Van Bowles of Greenville; sisters Mary Ruth MacCauley of Elizabethtown and Ruby Nell (Charles) Blackburn of Clay; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, March 28, 2016, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by Rev. Joe Chambers. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
