CENTRAL CITY- Daniel Blake Phillips, 50, of Central City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 27, 2026.
Blake was born to Danny and Jackie Phillips. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Harrison Phillips; his parents, Danny and Jackie Phillips; his sister, Brandy (Craig) Bishop; and his brother, Jay Perry Phillips. Uncle Tommy Perry and Uncle Tommy (Lisa) Phillips. Several cousins and nephews.
Blake played soccer and served as a football kicker for Muhlenberg North.
He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in nursing. He proudly served others as a registered nurse for 25 years, dedicating much of his life to caring for those in need.
Blake attended Green River Chapel and was a member of the Baptist faith. His faith and compassion were important parts of his life.
An avid sports fan, Blake enjoyed all sports, but his greatest passion was Kentucky basketball. He also cherished spending time with his loved ones and creating memories that will be treasured by his family and friends.
Blake will be remembered for his caring heart, dedication to his profession, love of family, and the many lives he touched throughout his 50 years.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service that will continue through the family and friends who were blessed to know him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Larry Shadowen officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
