HOPKINSVILLE – Curtis Wayne Shelton, 59, of Hopkinsville, died Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 8:50PM at Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville. Mr. Shelton was born September 6, 1963, in Chicago. He was a Factory Operator at Tennessee Wire Technology. He was a care-free character who loved his rock music. He enjoyed quality time with his grandchildren and was known for his passion for UK basketball.

He is survived by his daughters, Sable (Justin) Chapman of Browder and Heather (Robert) Ward of Greenville; brother, Brien Shelton; sister, Brandi Shelton; partner, Kay “Aunt Kay”; parents, Winston and Kathryn Shelton; grandchildren, Meka, Oaklee, Clark, Carter, Rayleigh, and Trevor; and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Southern; and several nieces and nephews.

Curtis was my stepfather for half of my life. Very sad to hear of his passing. Praying for sable and heather. Love y’all bunches! I have lots of memories with him. My favorites were him and my mom driving the four wheeler while us kids sat in the little boat he pulled and we would ride down to the creek and all just spend time together and enjoy our moments.
