CENTRAL CITY – Coneathea Pryor Drake, 69, of Central City, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Ascensions St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. Coneathea was born June 24, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dimple & Jake Pryor; and her nephew, Eric Lee.
Coneathea was a graduate of Drakesboro High School and Lockyear Business College. She was a legal secretary for Jarvis, Payton, and Kinney and secretary to Judge David Jernigan. She was a member of Central City Church of Christ. Coneathea loved her family immensely and her dog. As an avid UK basketball fan she was often heard loudly cheering on her Cats. Her famous secret receipt for pimento cheese will always remain her secret. She was always positive and a blessing to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Drake; step-daughter, Tennille (Jon) Hicks; granddaughters, Maddie and Allie Hicks; sister, Norma (Mark) Lee; brother, Garland (Kerri) Pryor; nephews, Jason (Susie) Lee and Bryan Pryor; and niece, Brittany (Thomas) Pogue.
Graveside funeral services will be Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00AM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, with Mr. Bob Edlin officiating. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Muhlenberg County Humane Society in memory of Coneathea.
