Clement Lee Wacks Davis of Greenville died on Monday October 31 at in Greenville. She was born August 31, 1927 in St. Charles, Va. Clement was the daughter of Nettie Lee Barker Wacks and Kermit Quinton Wacks and spent most of her childhood with her beloved grandmother, Rebecca Yeary Barker also from Va. Clement had a love of the mountains and the rich history of the area. Her family moved to Johnson City, Tn during her teen years where she attended Science Hill High School. Clement later graduated from Western Ky University with a Masters in Education and taught English at Greenville Elementary until her retirement. She enjoyed flower gardening and singing solos at church where she always performed “O Holy Night” at Christmas. She was a member of New Paradise Baptist Church. Clement was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Chalmers Wacks, and a grandson, Tim Covington. She is survived by James W. Davis, her husband of 65 years, 2 daughters, Sandra (Ron) Covington and Doris (Steve) Robison of Greenville. Four Grandchildren, Mike Robison, Michele (Kelly) Rose, Glenda (Rondal) Rolley of Greenville, and Beth (Mark) Dye of Tullahoma, TN, seven great grandchildren, Hunter and Emma Rose, Cole and Tommy Dye, Natalie, Nicholas and Emily Rolley, two sisters, Carolyn Illo Goff of Dayton, OH and Suzanne Chinouth of Johnson City, TN and one brother, Sonny Wacks of Ocala, FL Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 3 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City.
