Clayton Jones POWDERLY — Clayton Jones, 89, of Powderly died at 7:25 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born Sept. 8, 1920, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired car man from Illinois Central Railroad and a member of Woodson Baptist Church in Powderly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Jinner Jones; two sons, Eugene Jones and Harold Jones; a daughter, Patricia Jones; and a granddaughter, Angela Beth Crick. Survivors include a son, Bobby J. Jones of Powderly; two daughters, Rita Brown of Greenville and Judy Crick of Powderly; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by the Rev. Travis Fox. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery in Central City.
