GREENVILLE – Charlotte Faye Murphy, 90, of Greenville, KY danced her way into heaven at 2:04AM on Monday, November 11, 2024. She was born in Muhlenberg County on October 6, 1934 to the late Pearl and Rufus Earl Walker. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Her life was marked by kindness, resilience, and a devotion to those around her.
Charlotte was a member of White Plains Church of Christ where her life was a testament to unwavering faith and loyalty to her relationship with God. Her connection with God was at the heart of everything she did and she shared that love through music. Whether singing hymns at church, dancing, or simply sharing laughter with family, her joy was contagious.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Murphy; sister, Ann Beadnell; brother, Bedford Walker; and son-in-law, Barry Pendley Sr.
She is survived by her three daughters: Vickie Pendley, Kathy (Billy) McDonald, and Melody (Stephen) Petricca; 8 grandchildren: Barry (Holly) Pendley, Tiffany Harper, Ashley (Seth) Benson, Ryan (Sarah) McDonald, Scotty (Morgan) McDonald, Kelly (Jason) Phillips, Roman Petricca, and Ascen Petricca; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central with Bro. George Wunderlich officiating. Burial in Brier Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11AM-1PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
Charlotte was called to her heavenly home, surrounded by her loving family while under the care of hospice of western KY. Her spirit will forever be remembered and her love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
