Missing you now more than ever!!

Things are so different now that your not here. Some of the family has been pulled apart. I know this isn't what you would want. I don't know how to fix it. I need you here to tell me what to do. Your the link that kept this family as one. Why can't everyone get along. Your house has always been the house we all gathered in. No matter what state KY. or IN. we all came to your house. Dear Mom, I MISS YOU SO MUCH! Mom, The day you died, I kissed your face many time. After you died, I held you so close to mine. I knew it would be the last time I held you for the rest of my life. You were so sick, in so much pain That is no life I know you were not afraid to die I hope you have found comfort Do you remember how I held your hand and lay my head on your shoulder Even at that moment I couldn't imagine life without you People talk about broken hearts in songs or movies Until that moment I had never known a true broken heart Over and over I thought "How can I live without you?" Bobby and Greg, I am so sorry to hear about Charlie ,she was a GREAT person! I loved working with her at Stewarts. I haven`t talked to her in a long time, but think of her often. Again, so sorry for your loss. May God Be With You.

there r WAY TOO many memories for me to share ...as charlie & i were NOT JUST FRIENDS...but co-workers & FAMILY...i will miss her most "charming way" of "greeting" pleasant & some "no so pleasant" people at the HOUSE OF STEWART`S rest. she had the heart, soul & spirit of a perfect ...ANGEL....R.I.P. my very dear friend....will ALWAY`S LOVE & CHERISH YOU!!!!!!!!!

Oh Charlie, for how many men and women will starve without your presence for every Sunday brunch and wonderful holiday meal spread that wasn't made with the touch of your love and devotion to all of us. As a child, I was taught by my dad to never pass up a meal and for every Sunday we went to your house, I never ate so many fresh biscuits and gravy followed by sausage and eggs and potatoes. Til my eyes were filled. You cooked for an Army! And it was always delicious. Then the holidays would come and your basement would hold every color, size, and flavor of cream pies. Oh how big did my dad and I's eyes got when we were coming to see you!! :-) Your strong demand for a clean humble home was always present and your soft spoken relaxed speaking style always made me wonder " Does she ever get mad?" But I remember the day someone tried to steel a float from me out of the pool and I thought I was about to drown and you yelled from your porch and I knew then, not to let the softness or the good ole southern cooking fool me, You took care of business! I did not have the privilege of meeting Charlie but know in my heart what a wonderful Mom she must have been to raise the caliber of human being she did in my friend, her son Greg. Godspeed dear lady.

One of my favorite memories i have of Aunt Charlie is her sharing some of her recipes with me. Her house was always the gathering place for summer vacations and holidays. She would always go out of her way to make you feel welcome and you never would go hungry at her house. I love you and will miss you

Charlie was a gentle sweet, kind, loving woman loved by all who knew her. I can't ever remember her without a smile. As a child I thought no one could talk on the phone as long as she and Mom did together. They would be on the phone for hours and hours at a time. :) Mom adored her and she would be very sad about her passing if she were still here. Brings tears to my eyes thinking about how close they always were and now they are both gone, 6 mos apart.. She will always be remembered and greatly missed. I remember the first time I met Charlie. She was one of the kindest and warmest women I had ever met. I felt at home in her house every time I was there. She always had a beautiful smile that would light a room. She will be greatly missed.

I have so many good memories about Charlie I could'nt begin to mention them! So was "awesome" in my eyes long before I even knew what that word meant. She looked out for me and my feelings when I thought no one cared......but Charlie cared and showed it in so many ways.....and I will always be grateful for that,but most of all I am so very honored to have been a part of her life.
