GREENVILLE – Charles “Wook” Roy Warner, 82, of Greenville, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00PM at Maple Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Warner was born June 30, 1929 in Muhlenberg County, the son of John Thomas Warner and Nora Ester Miller Warner. He was a machine shop die caster and member of Church of Christ in Central City. He was U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed flea marketing and small engine repair. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ernest Warner, B.F. “Hook” Warner, Floyd Warner, and Edgar Warner; and sister Dorthy Warner Lesley. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley Faye Wood Warner; children Roy D. (Debbie) Warner of Island, and Timmy Warner, Scotty J. Warner, Troy A. Warner, and Christopher Warner, all of Greenville; grandchildren Jessica Warner (Billy) Horn, Laura Warner Bullock, Dustin (Atrista) Warner, Bobby Warner, Chasity Warner, Scottie J. Warner, Christa Warner, and Haylee J. Warner; great-grandchildren Jamie Dow Bullock, Nicholas Bullock, Emma Bullock, Hunter Eugene Waddel, Harley Warner, Austin Warner, and Danika Horn. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 10:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Mr. Bob Edlin officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens in Powderly.
