BREMEN – Charles Arnett Hobgood, 89, of Bremen, died Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 9:15PM at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Hobgood was born October 31, 1935 in Bremen, KY to Alex and Birdie Hobgood. He was one of 13 children. He married his sweetheart Anna Ruth Smith in 1954. He was a member of Brier Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a Mason since 1961. He was a coal miner, a carpenter, and loved gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Ruth Hobgood, son Randal Hobgood, and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter Charlotte (Tim) Harlan, granddaughter Chelsea Harlan, all of Bremen, KY; brother Frank Hobgood and sister Jean Zoellick both of Bremen. He was blessed with many great nieces and nephews, and many special neighbors and friends – you know who you all are!

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 2PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Bro. Mike Neal officiating. Masonic Rights will be before the funeral service. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 11AM-2PM at the funeral home.
