I would like to extend my sympathy and prayers to the Mayes family. I remember your mother very well, especially at the Little League games. My favorite memory is Freddy tagging along behind her, possibly with a baby bottle in his mouth. Or, maybe it was a pop bottle. She and your father raised a fine family. Sincerely, Billy Wynn Hicks

We are out of town and thought we'd be back in time to visit you at the funeral home. We are so sorry to hear of Mrs. Mayes passing and hope you are comforted that she led a long and wonderful life and was a shining example for all of you. My Dad used to talk of the "Mayes kids" and their extrordinary desire to succeed at whatever endeavor they chose and for this, you must give a lot of credit to your mother. May God bless and comfort you during this difficult time.
