BREMEN – Mrs. Carolyn Ann Billings, lovingly known as “Mimi” by all who knew her, was born November 10th, 1953 in Louisville Kentucky to the late Donald Mitzel and Jewell Mae Pointer. Carolyn passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 in Greenville Ky at 10:28pm.
Carolyn married Douglas Arthur Billings in September of 1993, and they celebrated 30 years of marriage before Douglas’s death in January 2023. Although they weren’t searching for it, they found a love that despite all odds, lasted life’s tests and trials. Carolyn wasn’t just a wife, she was the glue that held her family together. From a young age, she took care of everyone around her, including all seven of her siblings. Carolyn never took no for an answer and lived life the way that she wanted. She owned three restaurants in Muhlenberg County and served her community in a way that impacted everyone who walked through the doors.
Carolyn enjoyed cooking, fishing, listening to good music, and playing jokes on the ones closest to her. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Family was the most important thing to her and kept her going through every hard day. She will be dearly missed by many and thought of daily. After all, there are never any goodbyes, just “I’ll see you later.”
Carolyn was preceded in death by Douglas Billings (Husband), Jewell M. Hall (Mother), Claude E. Hall (Father), Claudia M. Franklin (Sister), and William T. Hall (Brother).
She left behind one son, Troy Allen. Three daughters, Bobbie Hensley (John), Leigh Ann Dukes, Whitney Piper (Tyler), one stepdaughter, Shelicia Billings, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one little fur friend, Daisy.
