POWDERLY – Carole Lee Griggs, 73, of Powderly, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 3:23AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Griggs was born August 16, 1939 in Gary, Indiana. She was a homemaker and attended Mercer Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James Griggs; sons James Griggs of Evansville, Wade (Regina) Griggs of Powderly, and Michael (Lisa) Griggs of Lexington; daughters Kaye (Tommy) Wilson of Powderly, and Renee (Keith) Littlefield of Gishton; grandchildren Bridget Chesnel, Tisha Skipworth, Melissa Griggs, Nathan Moody, Amber Rojas, Kara Moody, Jerry Jean Jarvis, Keisha Griggs, Brandon Griggs, Braxton Griggs, Tiffany Griggs, and James Michael Griggs; great-grandchildren Cole Moody, Preston Moody, Zoe Skipworth, Elliott Skipworth, Conner Chesnel, Nevaeh Griggs, Mason Jarvis, Amber Griggs, Stephan Griggs, Enrique Griggs, Tamia Griggs, Rosio Griggs, Briana Rojas Griggs, and Dai’ana Watson; and sister Margo Campbell of Griffith, Indiana. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial in Old Bethel Cemetery.
