Carl Cowboy Moore 11/27/2008 NELSON CREEK — Carl Cowboy Moore, 75, of 1113 Perkins St., Central City, died at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at Maple Manor Health Care, Greenville. He was born July 15, 1933, in LeJunior to the late Ernest and Pearlie Hoskins Moore. He was an Army veteran, a retired coal miner and former Muhlenberg County employee, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a devoted member of Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist church, but he also attended services at Nelson Creek Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed going to church, talking on his CB radio and driving his dog Wendy around Nelson Creek. He was preceded in death by a loving wife of 50 years, Helen McGinnis Moore, son Johnny Big Moot Moore, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Carliss Moore of Central City; sons Robin (Phyllis) Moore of Greenville and Scotty (Lisa) Moore of Nelson Creek; grandchildren Lisa and Kevin Brooks, Jonathan and Amanda Moore, and Zack and Drew Moore; stepgrandchildren Tiffany and Jared O’Brien; great-grandchildren Chris Brooks, Alice Brooks and Kevin Carl Thomas BrooksGlenn Hodges 11/26/2008 cq; brothers Ted (Dorothy) Moore of Sacramento, Calif., and Charlie (Bobbie) Moore of Shawneetown Ill.; sisters Wilma Jean (Orice) Witt of Marango, Ohio, Bessie Moore of Murphreesboro, Ill., and Mamie Lee Hamilton of Chicago; and a special dog, Wendy Sue. Services are at noon Saturday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, with the Rev. Donnie Wilkins officaiting. Burial will be in Nelson Creek Cemetery. Vistiation will be after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
