DRAKESBORO – Carl Glendon Hill, 84, of Drakesboro, died Monday, August 10, 2020, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Mr. Hill was born October 29, 1935, in Muhlenberg County. He moved with the family to Hammond, IN in the mid 1950’s, and returned back to this area in the late 1960’s. He worked on the river boats until he retired. He was a member of Riverside Church, the church of his childhood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oma and Connie Hill, who owned a small coal mine in Riverside before moving to Hammond,IN in the early 1950’s; and five brothers, Arthur Lee, Jewel Howard, Connis, Harold, and Charles Hugh Hill. He is survived by three sisters, Carolyn Sue Fleming of Belton, Lois McElwain of Penrod, and Janice Stover of Drakesboro; one brother, Kenneth Wayne (Brenda) Hill of Drakesboro; and many nieces and nephews.
