BELTON — Carl L. Arnold, 81, of Belton died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville. He was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Muhlenberg County, was an Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from the construction services branch of TVA Paradise Plant after 34 years and retired from Teamsters Local 215. He was also a bus driver for the Muhlenberg County School System. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, watching University of Kentucky basketball, and most of all, playing cards with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Jessie Arnold; his parents, Clyde E. and Tillie Arnold; and a brother, W.C. “Buddy” Arnold. Survivors include daughters Sherry (Franklin) Embry of Drakesboro, Linda (Jerry) Hammers of Beechmont, Brenda (Randy) Clark, Darlene Smith and Donna (Gary) Johnson, all of Owensboro, and Teresa (Ms. Ivy) Arnold of Evansville; 11 grandchildren, Rodney (Tammy) Embry, Brian (Christina) Embry, Chad (April) Embry, Melody (James) Clark; Amy (Keanen) Dukes; Jeremy and Kesha Jackson, Krystal and Tyler Smith and Casey and Travis Clark; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe, Heath, Kayla, Daisy, Kali, Tara, Taylor and Ms. Ivy. Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Bobby Allen Jr. Burial is in Mud River Union Cemetery, Belton.
