GREENVILLE – Calvin Lee Davenport, Jr., 50, of Greenville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Mr. Davenport was born April 8, 1974 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Living Word Church, and he loved spending time with family, especially his grandson Christopher Davenport. An active Nascar and wrestling watcher, he loved his cars and blasting 80’s music in them; he always said it was the best music of all time. Most of all he loved the late-night trips to the gym with his daughter, Brianna and picking/cutting up with his girlfriend, Tonya James. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Lee Davenport Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Voldine Davenport; sisters, Donna (Rick) Morgan, and Vallerie (Allen) Bratcher; children, Calvin Davenport III, and Brianna (Clayton) Davenport; girlfriend, Tonya James; his one and only grandson “his little buddy,” Christopher Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 6, 2024 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Josh Rich officiating. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
