BREMEN – The Honorable Judge Brian Ramsey Crick, 43, of Bremen, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at his residence. Judge Crick was born October 9, 1978, in Hopkins County. He served as the District Judge in Muhlenberg and McLean Counties after first being elected in 2010. He was a member of Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and Sunday school teacher. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Carolyn Crick, and Leroy and Frances Collins.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Amanda Payton Crick of Bremen; sons Payton Crick and Nolan Crick and daughter Ramsey Crick, all of Bremen; his parents, Dwaine and Gina Crick of Nortonville; sister, Emily (Drew) Phaup of Nortonville; nephew, Collin Phaup; niece, Elizabeth Phaup, niece Hunter (Jacob) Browning and their three children, all of Nortonville; grandmother, Gloria Crick of Nortonville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwight and Lisa Payton of Sacramento; sister-in-law, Ashley (Josh) Crocker and niece Allison Crocker and nephew Dylan Crocker, all of Russellville; as well as other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 6:00PM at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sacramento, with Bro. Kevin Brantley officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-6PM at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

Judge Crick did many things to help me and the students of McLean County High School. From helping prepare students for Moot Court competitions to speaking to Law and Justice classes, Judge Crick was a great person and friend. My prayers are with him and his family.

Patrick and I have so many fond memories of Brian from Chase Law School. Amanda and Brian were the couple we all wanted to be around. Brian was not only a very intelligent person, he was also kind and generous. He will be greatly missed by all who new him. Amanda, you and your children have our sincere condolences. To Mrs Crick,the children, entire family. I worked with Judge Crick while I was working for the state. He spoke often of his family. I enjoyed working with him and found him to be fair man. I extend my condolences to the entire family at this time. Be Blessed

The loss of Brian Crick was an untimely tragedy. May the Lord bless his wife, three young children, his friends, and his entire family in their hour of grief. Brian was an excellent District Judge. He understood the law and he treated everyone that appeared before him in a fair and friendly way. Brian was a fine young man, colleague, gentlemen and a good lawyer. My prayers go out to the crick family if I had one wish left that would come true I would give it to you guys brian was one of kind man I remember well we got to know each other little bit before then just about three weeks ago me and my wife was going through stuff and came across the crick hat that was given to me when I was helping with putting up signs in2010 and he never forgot it either I thought when he won it well will he still know me now because most of the time it changes people but not him he didn't matter where we were at he always knew me and I saw him one time in a restaurant I was so dirty so I walked on by and seat the table cross from his And he asked me are you to good to seat with us I said no but I been out working and I'm sweatt and dirty so he said you better get over here and I will never forgot it either I will miss setting around that little table at his friend's place and shooting the bull brian go rest high on that mountain I will never forget you my friend
