BEECHMONT — Bobby Joe Tatum Sr., 68, of Beechmont died at 12:09 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born on Sept. 29, 1942, in Muhlenberg County and was a Baptist. He was self-employed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Lorene Tatum; a brother, Walter Ray Tatum; and two brothers-in-law, Harvey Duvall and Leroy Jernigan. Survivors include a son, Bobby Joe (Cathy) Tatum of Central City; two daughters, Debbie (Glenn) Mohon of Whitehouse, Tenn., and Harley Jo Ann Cessna of Kentucky; a grandson; a brother, Henry “Cotton” (Myrna) Tatum of Central City; and four sisters, Annie Duvall of Bremen, Hazel (Robert) Duvall of Central City, Pat Jernigan of Beech Creek and Linda (Jerry) Morphew of Browder. Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
