CENTRAL CITY – Bobby Owen Mayhugh, age 76, of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 6, 2025. Born on September 22, 1948, in Tar Hill, KY, he was the son of the late David “Jiggo” and Laura Belle Mayhugh.

A man of unwavering integrity, Bobby dedicated his life to his family, community, and faith. He was a proud Kentucky Colonel and served with distinction as Secretary and Treasurer of the Teamsters Local #215, as well as a Muhlenberg County Water Commissioner. He was also an Army Veteran, a member of Central City Masonic Lodge #673 and served on the Muhlenberg County Tourism Commission.  Bobby’s life was a testament to service, strength, and love.

Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his brother, JD Mayhugh; sisters, Betty Lou Mayhugh and Shirley Whitson; and sons, Bobby Owen Mayhugh Jr. and Nathan Mayhugh.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and Christian, always willing to lend a helping hand. His passions included Tennessee walking horses and saddle horses, which brought him great joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Sue Mayhugh; daughters, Susan Mayhugh, Destiny (Clint) Ray, and Kayla (Terry) Bratcher. Bobby was a proud grandfather to Cooper Ray, TJ Bratcher, Savannah (Cody) Crick, Brooklyn Bratcher, and Olivia (Aaron) Vincent; and great-grandfather to Wyatt, Norah, and Silas Crick, as well as Greyson, Cayde, and Elijah Mayes.  He is also survived by his brothers, Kenneth (Bettie) Mayhugh and Doug (Shirley) Mayhugh; sister, Diane (Steve) Rutherford; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Keith Whitson, Thad Mayhugh, Jason Mayhugh, Jay Rutherford, Timmy Segers, and Mike Mayhugh. Honorary pallbearers include Scott Adams, Dennis Roop, Hubert Meredith, Jason Lindsey, and Danny Sharp.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by Bro. Larry Shadowen and Bro.
