CENTRAL CITY – Bobby Gean Higgs, 82, of Central City, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 7:55PM at his residence under the care of his loving family and Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. Mr. Higgs was born June 12, 1941, in Central City. He was a retired fork-lift operator and warehouse worker at Supervalu, and a member of First Baptist Church of Central City. Bobby loved billiards, fishing, and spending time with Judy at their weekend home at Lake Malone. He enjoyed watching the Price is Right, Chicago Bears football, and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Higgs; step-mother, Dorothy “Dot” Higgs; brothers, Jackie Higgs and Billy Higgs; sisters, Angela Pendley and Mary Jane Barton; and step-sister, Joyce Boyd.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Connelly Higgs; son, David (Janet) Higgs of Central City; daughter, Helen Jeffers of Cleaton; grandchildren, Jayme (Landon) Atcher, Haley Harper, and Michael (Haley) Higgs; great-grandchildren, Carter Atcher, Collin Harper, and Madilynn Atcher; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 23, 2023, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Dr. Chase Thompson and Rev. Barry Davis officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be Monday after 9:00AM at the funeral home.
