GREENVILLE – Billy Ray Kennedy, 82, of Greenville, died Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 8:40AM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  Mr. Kennedy was born September 27, 1940, in Muhlenberg County.  He was self-employed with Kennedy Tree Service, and a member of Carter Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  Mr. Kennedy was an avid traveler.  His favorite places to visit were Washington, DC and Las Vegas.  Christmas was his favorite time of year.  He loved time spent surrounded by his family.

Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Kennedy; father, Buell Kennedy; son, Bruce Alan Kennedy; sister, Jewell Hardwick; and first wife, Anna Blake Kennedy.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Boria Kennedy; son, Keith Kennedy; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Roger Heltsley officiating.  Burial in Carter Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
