BEECH CREEK- Billy Ray “Buck” Buchanan, 58, of Beech Creek died Friday, October 15, 2021 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Buchanan was born in Muhlenberg County on August 1, 1962. He was a general laborer and contractor for Fluor Daniels and a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Buchanan was a simple one-of-a-kind man, that loved life, grandkids, and being a big goof on Halloween. He was a jack of all trades and mechanically could fix anything. Mr. Buchanan was a veteran of the National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dorothy Buchanan.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Buchanan; children, Will (Cristina) Ashby, Andrea (Justin) Dockery; grandchildren, Kyndall, Gage, Lennon, London; brothers, Johnny Wayne Buchanan, David Neil Buchanan; sisters, Barbara Price, Debrah (David) Baynes.

I worked with Buck for many years. He was not only a great co-worker but a good friend. My prayers are with his wife Paulette and with his family. I will see you later my friend.

He had the biggest heart of anyone I knew. Was always there when anyone ask for help. He always made people laugh I’m sure gonna miss you a lot R.I.P. love always
