Got to know former State Trooper Billy Harkins when we both transferred to Post 2 , Madisonville in 1964. Trooper Harkins worked Muhlenberg County & was assigned to Hopkins County. I kind of lost contact with Harkins after he left the KSP & went K.U. I know Billy will be by his family & friends. Ron Hunt--KSP. Retired

Know that my prayers are with the entire family. Billy was a remarkable individual full of love and caring. I don't know what Dad and Maudine would have done without Betty and Billy's assistance.

I remember coming down from Greenville when I was in collage. Dad had Billy, when he was a state trooper, pick me up, lights and all as I crossed into Muhlenburg County on the WKP. He got such a kick out of that. Hs smile shined bright on everyone he looked at.

God speed, Billy. I am sure God has already got a job for you.
