CENTRAL CITY: Billie Louise Meuth Wheeler, 90 of Central City died Sunday January 24, 2010 in the Long Term Unit at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born on January 17, 1920 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late Emma and Sebastian Meuth. Her twin sister, Margaret Virginia preceded her in death in childhood. Her husband, Otis L. Wheeler also preceded her in death in 1970 and a sister, Marie Meuth in 1993. She attended Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and graduated from Holy Name School in Henderson, KY. She was a Registered Nurse for many years and retired from Veterans Hospital in Louisville. She received her RN from Nazareth College in Bardstown, Kentucky and her BS in Nursing from Spalding College in Louisville. She is survived by her son; Dr. Wayne and Sheri Rosso of Central City, two granddaughters and their families; Shawn and Mark Alcott and great grandchildren: Bella, Finnian and Lilah of Bowling Green, KY, and Lisa and Tracy Hope and great grandchildren: Nicholas and Caroline of Beechcreek, KY. She is also survived by her sister, Maudeanna Minniear of Lafayette, IN two nephews, Edward Minniear II and David Minniear and one niece, Ann O’Conner and their families. Visitation for Mrs. Wheeler will begin Wednesday evening at 5:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home with graveside services following at 2:00 PM at St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
