CENTRAL CITY – Betty Fay Vaught, 75, of Central City, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 1:05PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Vaught was born May 10, 1937 in Muhlenberg County. She was a nurse aide at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Vaught; parents Albert and Lillie Austin; grandson Jeremy Wilkerson; brother Jimmy Austin; and sisters Eva McPherson, Geanette Boggess, and Mahala Martin. Survivors include her sons, Ray (Melody) Vaught of Penrod, Kenny (Lisa) Vaught of Nelson Creek, and William Vaught of Nelson Creek; daughter Ruby (Don) Wilkerson of Fort Branch, IN; brothers Albert Austin, Jr. of Harlan, Tom Austin of Drakesboro, Ed Austin of Nelson Creek, Raymond Austin of Nelson Creek, Tommy Austin of Nelson Creek, and Mack Austin of Beechmont; sisters Imogene Johnson and Clara Gregory, both of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Tim Adcock officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
