CENTRAL CITY – Betty Jo Reed, 75, of Owensboro, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Owensboro. She was born December 28, 1936 in Muhlenberg County, was a homemaker and a member of the Nelson Creek Pentecostal Church and the Apostolic Lighthouse in Owensboro. Mrs. Reed is preceded in death by, her husband, James Reed, a son, Kenneth Reed, a grandson, Joshua Reed, her parents, Kelly & Nola Griffin, a sister, Shirley Avery, & two brothers, Leonard & Darrell Griffin. Survivors include, two sons, Daryl(Karen)Reed of Owensboro & Steve(Retha)Reed of Central City, four daughters, Donna Evitts of Owensboro, Connie(Rickie)Singer of Owensboro, Mary(Rob)Pochiba of Versailles & Wende(Jerry)Vincent of Bremen, nineteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. Four brothers, Jesse “Dub” Griffin & Wendell Griffin both of Moorman, Larry Griffin of Mosleyville & Darris Griffin of Muhlenberg County, a sister, Joann Beasley of Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, conducted by, Bro. Keith Avery & Bro. Paul Uzzle, Jr., with burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Moorman. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Monday, & after 8:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
