BREMEN – Betty Jean Stewart Monaghan, 84, of Bremen, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Monaghan was born January 11, 1936, in Muhlenberg County. She was a mounting technician at General Electric in Owensboro, and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bremen. She is survived by her sister, Florine Heltsley of Bremen; and sister-in-law Ruby Rickard. In compliance with health and public safety directives, the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Monaghan will be private. Burial will be in Gish Cemetery. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Betty. Regretfully, I had not seen Aunt Betty since Uncle Pete died. I am so sorry these last years were so hard for her. May she rest in peace. She and Uncle Pete were so well suited in their younger years and I know when their health started getting bad it was really hard on both of them. I loved them both and they were such dear people.
