CENTRAL CITY – Betty Shelton Mayhugh, 87, of Central City, died Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at 7:05AM at Maple Manor Health and Rehab in Greenville. Mrs. Mayhugh was born November 6, 1932, in Greenville. She was an assembly line worker at General Electric for 42 years. She loved to read her Bible and talk to the Lord. She taught Sunday School for a number of years. She loved her husband of 48 years and her two boys. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Mayhugh; father Roy Shelton; mother Maude Vincent Shelton; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Salissa) Mayhugh of Clarksville, TN and James (Shirley) Mayhugh of Central City; and sister Martha Mason. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 11:00AM at Nelson Creek Baptist Church, with Bro. Jared Baker officiating. Burial in Nelson Creek Cemetery.
