BREMEN – Bertha Sue Piper, 70, of Bremen, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 2:23AM at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mrs. Piper was born May 27, 1947, in Hopkins County. She was a cashier at Nickolas’ Corner in Bremen, and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Hula Latham; sister Martha Latham; and brother Merle Latham. She is survived by her daughters, Kristie (Mark) Ferguson and Pamela Piper, both of Bremen; grandchildren Corey Nannie, Cody Nannie, Christopher “Kip” Murphy, Caleb Nannie, and Christian Nannie; great-grandchildren LaKhee, Laven, and Braelynn Nannie; brothers Calvin (Kaye) Latham of Bremen and William Latham of Central City; sisters Dorothy Jett of Benton and Helen (Omer Jr.) Dennis of Bremen; and sister-in-law Anna Latham of Bowling Green. Funeral services will be Friday, February 2, 2018, at 2:00PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Mrs. Piper will lie in state on Friday after 9:00AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
