BELTON – Bennie Monroe Goodman, 73, of Belton, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 12:01PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Goodman was born February 2, 1947, in Muhlenberg County. He was a steel worker at U.S. Steel, and a member of Beech Creek Methodist Church. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Coletta Goodman; and brother-in-law David Hunter. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gayla Maxberry Goodman; daughters Samantha (Christopher) Nasielski of Drakesboro and Grabrielle Goodman of Greenville; grandchildren Nicholas, Emily (Patrick), Jackson, and Gillian; great-grandchildren Savannah and Mason; brother Jimmy Goodman; and sister Vickie Hunter. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery in Belton. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Muhlenberg County Humane Society.
