Ben Mac was one of the smartest people I have ever known. He devised an economic plan that would have created thousands of jobs for our region several years ago but unfortunately we couldn’t get the “powers that be” to raise the necessary revenue to make it happen. Genuinely nice guy and fun to talk with. Condolences to Carolyn and the family.

I have many great memories of Ben one is Ben love to play a game we showed him called aggravation. We would laugh and laugh and laugh playing that game. Ben helped load and drive our belongings to Texas seven times , he saved us ,what a friend!

Carolyn and sons. I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many great memories of Ben from High School. He loved playing basketball and also loved playing the saxophone in the Men of Note. I enjoyed both those activities with him We stayed in contact over the years but I wish we had lived closer so we could have done more. Carolyn has been a great mother and great wife and a great caregiver. She could not done more for him. All their lives she has been devoted. He had a long life. He leaves behind great memories with all of you. His Buddy, Jackie Simpson
