GREENVILLE – Beatrice Todd Jones, 96, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 4:10PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. She was born January 1, 1922, to Ruby Eugene Todd and Elva Mae Buford Todd in Martwick, KY. Bea was a member of Second Baptist Church in Greenville. She, her husband, Lewis, and son Gary joined Second Baptist in 1962, where she served in training union, Sunday School, and various other committees of the church. She loved her Lord and served Him faithfully at Second. She read the Bible through each year until her eyesight prohibited it. Bea loved family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. “Aunt Bea” had a special relationship with her nieces and nephews. Many of them have told stories of how she and her husband taught them the books of the Bible and scripture verses. She will be missed by all who knew her. But, she is in the hands of the One who made us all! Bea was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lewis Franklin Jones; her mother and father, Ruby E. and Elva M. Todd; two sisters, Dorothy Nell McGee and Ruby Jean “Sis” Kadner; three brothers, William E. Todd, James Gerald “Buddy” Todd, and Franklin Delano Todd. She is survived by one son, Gary (Doris) Jones of Greenville; sister Judy Todd (Roy) Wilson of Hilltop Lakes, TX; sisters-in-law Modell Debell of Sanford, MI, Kathleen Todd of Greenville, Ann Todd of Bay City, MI, Shelby Jones of Central City, and Phyllis Jones of Chicago, IL; fourteen nieces; and sixteen nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, May 14, 2018, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating, assisted by Dr. Kevin Milburn. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
