CLEATON – Barry Gene Brown, 70, of Cleaton, died Sunday, August 5, 2018, at 10:40AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Brown was born May 25, 1948, in Muhlenberg County. He was a shuttle car driver for Peabody Coal Co., and a member of Duvall’s Chapel Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He loved to fish and enjoyed talking to his closest friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Brown and Buddy Brown; and parents Marshall and Delema Brown. He is survived by his brother, Bruce (Sherry) Brown of Greenville; son John Paul Carender; grandson Charlie Carender; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 11:00AM at Old Bethel Cemetery, with burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
