CENTRAL CITY – Barbara Jo Satterly, 77, of Central City, died Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:20AM at her residence in Central City. Ms. Satterly was born June 21, 1946 in Lawrenceburg. She was a retired School Teacher for the Hancock Co. Public School System, and she was of the Baptist Faith. Barbara loved playing Bingo, working puzzles, playing cards, crocheting, and reading. She was a collector of her beloved teapots, butterflies, hats, and gnomes. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Dot McMichael; husband, Denny Satterly; and daughters, Lori Satterly, and Robyn Meredith.

She is survived by her son, Nathan Allen Satterly; daughter-in-law, Beth Satterly; son-in-law, Hugh Meredith; grandchildren, Seth Meredith, McKenna Meredith, Connor Satterly, and Noah Satterly; sisters, Kathy Newton, and Pam McMichael; niece, Missy (Chris) Johnson; great-niece/nephew, Kylie and Luke Johnson; nephew, Phil Newton; and the residents and caregivers of the Courtyard Assisted Living Facility. The family would like to thank the staff of The Courtyard for their years of love and care. Special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Joe Chambers officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
